Losing your ID is an inconvenience for most people, but for someone living on the street, it can completely derail their life. Without it, they can lose access to health care, housing, assistance programs and other basic services. It’s like they stop existing in the system. To bring attention to this issue, we created IDs that were “accidentally” left on the street. But when people picked them up, they realized the most important part was missing: the person’s identity.
